How to Show Customer Credit & Outstanding Balance

This document outlines the process and critical considerations for configuring and utilizing the customer credit and outstanding balance display feature within the Axanta Point of Sale (POS) system. The functionality allows businesses to print a customer's total outstanding credit amount directly on their transaction receipt. The setup involves a two-part process: first, enabling specific options within the functionality profile in the Axanta ERP back office, and second, synchronizing this new configuration with the POS terminal. The accuracy of the outstanding balance displayed is entirely dependent on the status of transactions in the back office; transactions must be in a "posted" state for their value to be reflected in the customer's balance. The system provides a visual cue—a caution sign—to alert users when a customer's recent transactions are not yet posted, and a manual refresh function is available at the POS to update the balance information once posting is complete.
